New zine is out! "Fucking Cis Men: stunted trans desire in the waning days of generation x". This started as cruising disaster stories from the early 90s and turned into something about putting the past down. Free download and purchase info here: gliff.org/posts/zine-f...
I've been filling a lot of gaps in my reading in the past few years. Something that strikes me about Schulman is how, in the circles I moved in decades ago, we all knew the facts of what she tends to write about, but looking back it's embarrassing how surface level and vain that understanding was.

I wrote about sheer spite's sliding scale pricing, and some thoughts on the economics of running a very small press:

on sliding scale zine pricing, and the economics of running a tiny press - sheer spite press
Pricing creative work is notoriously difficult. I find it especially so for zines. In running Sheer Spite, two things that are important to me are supporting people in making...

the precise moment you realize the recyclables are tumbling into the already filled with food scraps compost bin while, simultaneously, a passing car of young men cat calls your new tits and you muter quietly to yourself -- welcome to womanhood.

My first time tabling at @pdx_zines went great -- moved around 75% of what I printed, saw friends, and met a bunch of new people including folks collecting for libraries.

Also, I'm beyond amused that the zine that sold best was the one with a 2009 era blown out thirst trap for a cover.

I've got a small poem in the latest Trans Survivors zine from Forge -- cheap as in free download!
Alana Storm's "Frontier Discovery" explores the way our understandings of ourselves shift with age - ways that our perspectives can become more expansive. Read the full poem in Issue #3 of the Trans Survivors Zine: Aging and Growth, at forge.tips/zine @alanastorm.bsky.social
