I forget who is chronicling images of scanners’ hands in digitized records, but I came across a beautiful one while looking through the Jefferson County WV County Records from 1844-1847

I can’t even really get riled up about which part of cars is worse and more dangerous anymore, my mind goes straight to “get em all off the road”
Yes, HID headlights are very bright but the bigger problem is the proliferation of gargantuan vehicles with 5’+ hood heights so that if you’re driving a normal sized car their headlights are at your eye level rather than seat level like they’re supposed to be.

Remember when “ramen burgers” were trending? What a weird food fad

I’m getting imaging done between thanksgiving and Christmas and requested that the people working on me wear masks and the scheduler was like “well… everyone in our facility has to get a flu shot” like ok that’s great! Can they put on a mask too? Is that really such a big deal? So weird.
I’m always shocked at getting a bad attitude from a healthcare worker for us wearing a mask in a damn hospital. I standby my feeling that we are the most anti mask country on Earth, unless you’re an ICE agent trying to kidnap a family. ☠️

People who earnestly believe in “prompt engineering” are the biggest marks ffr
«Today, the artistic prompt typed into a chatbot is itself becoming a form of expression. The difference between a clunky query and an inspired one is as wide as the gap between a finger painting and a Van Gogh.»

No, it's not. At best, prompting is to artistic practice what googling is to research
The Prompt Engineer Is the Artist of Our Age
Just as the camera once challenged painters, AI is giving rise to a new kind of creativity.

Honolulu’s is definitely Zippy’s chili and rice or loco moco
I want everyone to post their hometown slop (if you don't have a cuisine that qualifies then your town has zero culture).

Skyline is fine and hits at 3 am just like taco bell lol

I have a genealogy client who is trying to use Grok to assist his own research, and he sent me an email containing a lengthy summary Grok made of the ancestor I’m researching for him… contained completely hallucinated children’s names, incorrect census record information… good lord

One piece of historic fact Montpelier should really dig into is James Madison’s grandfather Ambrose Madison being poisoned to death by people he had enslaved 😈🔥🔥
Can anyone confirm Heritage’s strange claim that Montpelier has no exhibits on James Madison? And also, the Constitution protected the institution of slavery in several ways, an institution that made Madison’s entire economic existence possible. Madison owned ~100 people and freed none of them.

Been hearing similar “WOW an AI song just charted!” stories on NPR and then they play a clip of the song and it sucks so much ass 🤣🤣🤣
for my @newyorker.com column I profiled Nick Arter, a consultant turned musician who began producing AI songs under the name Nick Hustles a year ago and has hit millions of streams and gone pro. Where is the line of human creativity in the post-AI music industry? www.newyorker.com/culture/infi...
That New Hit Song on Spotify? It Was Made by A.I.
Aspiring musicians are churning out tracks using generative artificial intelligence. Some are topping the charts.

I would love to see someone challenge Mark Warner from the left
if you wanna blame somebody I think Mark Warner is a pretty good choice. also I think a lot of the Biden Go drama was because Warner thought he could and should be President.

he's on the ballot in 2026 and does not afaik have a primary challenger

I love that we can finally relax and joke about the Jay Jones texts now that he’s won 😊
it’s genuinely so beast mode that voters in virginia saw these jay jones texts leak and elected him by 7 point and then flipped the seat of the republican who leaked these texts to a democrat lmfao
