Incredible how pretty much any sufficiently widely seen post saying "I think it's bad how people are prejudiced to trans people" inevitably attracts a whole host of replies going "But I don't see why you won't consider that trans people aren't real so prejudice against them doesn't count/matter?"
yes I don't really see how you can go "oh yikes these people have changed their political views incredibly quickly, mostly because of what Very Online people talk about on social media" and also think that people who went from never talking about gender to calling trans women predators are....normal
I don’t like subtweeting people I consider online friends, but there is a subset of people who are very worried about the ongoing radicalisation of our political elite but won’t ever acknowledge the echoes with the radicalisation of their colleagues on trans rights

Kudos to Metro for letting Starmer virtue-signal himself into a fury about homophobia, then listing all the things he's done to promote transphobia since coming to power... Wretched, pathetic man.

Just generally, claiming "scientific proof" that someone universally regarded as a woman by everyone who knew them up to that point (themselves included) is "really a man" is as facially absurd as claiming to have "scientific proof" that Charles Mountbatten-Windsor is not really King of England.
If you are ridiculing and misgendering a woman who was assigned female *at birth* and who is understood by all who know and love her to be a woman, simply for having the temerity to want to compete in the sport she loves, then that's very, very ugly.

I think at this point if you're including Diane Abbott - a woman who has never held government office, has been a backbencher since 2020, and is scarcely a government ally - on your list of political wrongdoers, we all know exactly what your real concerns are

The shame is that I can imagine an actually constructive disagreement with someone who does accept trans people as a legitimate minority, or even someone who just has a more nuanced view of sex/gender but is sceptical of transition. But that's not who anti-trans obsessives are.
As you say, so often it boils down to "these people and those who love them are deluded and wrong". They are doing it to intersex people now so at least they're consistent. I hope people start to see how ugly this is.

Truly is a travesty, all that money and not even £1 being spent on kicking Matt Goodwin out of the country.

Fake sources using my name keep cropping up.

Here, a former senior military official from Romania, Corneliu Pivariu, cites me in an article for Diplomat Magazine: diplomatmagazine.eu/2025/11/25/s...

It's entirely made up, presumably by his AI ghost writer. I haven’t written for Carnegie in years.

There's an amazing TV clip of Attlee where a journalist asks him "Is there anything you'd like to add, Prime Minister?" and he just pauses, bluntly says "No", and walks off.

Finally got around to reading this and this particular section explains a lot about where the whole schism came from. The core problem of when you collectively vote for a person to do a thing but that person votes against it.

For decades, smoking, drinking, and accidental deaths from men led Russia’s demographic problems - but then Putin started his disastrous war in Ukraine - a crime against their population that is also culling Russia’s own young men.

Up to 30 percent of the population has disappeared from some of the closed military towns of the Northern Fleet, according to calculations by the news-outlet Chronicles.

Pretty sure by the end of today we'll be speculating on the next chancellor.....
Political 'journalists' no longer report on the facts and truth.

They share gossip and speculation.

And when the facts are know they move on to the next round of speculation and gossip.

I can guarantee you before the end of today, many in the media will be speculating about the next Budget!

I have an idea. Why don't you connect a long chain of these little cabs all pulled by the same engine, to both save on energy efficiency and simplify coordinating multiple vehicles? You could call it a "train"?
By investing in Monocab Owl, the EU is revolutionising sustainable commuting.

A gyro-stabilised monorail offers autonomous, on-demand transport, boosting rural connectivity. 🚆

Do you know any other innovative transport solutions?

I remain baffled by people who make it explicitly clear that they don't accept a group as a legitimate minority and then claim to be shocked and affronted when that minority group regard them as holding antipathy/hostility towards them.
Always, without fail, comes down to simply rejecting the legitimacy of a minority demographic.
Every "debate" over minority rights boils down to the same thing: is this demographic a legitimate thing to be in our society, just as good as any other, and whose full participation in that society we seek to facilitate, or a less legit thing whose participation we have no obligation to facilitate?

Also Michael Fassbender is doing a Magneto hunts Nazis movie, I know I’ve mentioned this many times before but that’s because it’s a brilliant idea
