Judge rules that Black church in DC, which won a $2.8 million default judgment against the Proud Boys, now gains control over the trademark “Proud Boys.” The far-right group is barred from selling any related merchandise or symbols without the consent of the church. Gift link:

Today in US History: On Feb. 3, 1870, the 15th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, granted black men the right to vote. It was passed by Congress on February 26, 1869. Black Americans were set free by the 13th amendment. The 14th Amendment guaranteed citizenship.

Just finished this delightfully creepy horror/thriller. It was an impulse pick at the library and I’m SO GLAD I grabbed it! If you’re into ghosts and seances, hidden pasts coming forward in terrible ways, and dealing with loss, you’ll find all that in I’ll Be Waiting.

Just finished this delightfully creepy horror/thriller. It was an impulse pick at the library and I’m SO GLAD I grabbed it! If you’re into ghosts and seances, hidden pasts coming forward in terrible ways, and dealing with loss, you’ll find all that in I’ll Be Waiting.
And my 2024 reading journey is wrapped! I moved completely to @the.storygraph for tracking my reads this year and I love the graphic (& everything else, y’all they introduced an option to PAUSE reads!)
My 2025 goal is to be more consistent with posting ratings/reviews.
