Had a fabulous time at my local No Kings protest. I was standing with some friends right by a speaker with a really fun playlist. At one point it started blaring "We Are the Champions" and I am not going to tell you I didn't get a little teary.

Last summer I was in England & bought some raspberries at a random truck stop & they were the best raspberries I have ever had. US raspberries are totally inferior, I don't know if you know.

The problem is that now every time I watch Bake Off, everyone uses raspberries and I whine about this

Our school district has an unreasonably long fall break and we're all antsy. Today I took my kids to an indoor bounce house place where they ran around for 3 hours and I sat on a comfy couch with a crispy diet coke, and I have to say that's the best $29 I have spent in quite some time.

Refilling my mental health meds this morning and I went ahead and got the 90 day supply, not for convenience but because who the hell knows what this hell hole will be like in 90 days. That's my plan for the foreseeable future refills, I think. What a fun time. 🙄

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

My 55 year old neighbor bought Lightning McQueen shoes for himself. He saw my toddler wearing them and googled them as a joke to prove they don't make them for adults. Turns out they do and he bought them immediately 🤣
