When people say that 'real women aren't that aware of their boobs' or 'short people don't think about their height that often,' I...do? Like, I'm just constantly aware of my body? I have small boobs and my breasts still breast boobily to me? I constantly compare my height?

staggering the streets
no one comes out at night
maybe it's the screams
crackling like dead skin
from my deteriorated throat
they lock their doors
against the dead
walking #famished

spill the contents
and a muddy tea
upon throbbing floorboards
to drink through the cracks

I expected that Wednesday would be a big last-minute grocery shopping day, but working yesterday was like shopping on a weekend. Looking forward to taking Thursday and Friday off. Bracing for today.

requesting/borrowing books from your local library is also free to you, and doesn’t make a zillion writers want to catapult you out to sea.

Always worth taking a moment to remind you if you’re pirating authors’ book you’re a shitty person. You can rail that our profession isn’t a profession all you want. You can paint yourself as an online revolutionary liberating ideas. It’s all bullshit.

You’re just a shitty person who hates writers.

Every time I drink an apple cider that isn't homemade, it just tastes like freaking apple juice. I like apple juice. Don't be lying to me that it's apple cider.

All of this. And even past this, "I would rather potentially have a child dead from a painful and preventable disease than potentially one with neurodivergence" is one HELL of a take.
I think my biggest problem with the "vaccines cause autism" bullshit is that, even assuming they did (they don't, actually), neurodiversity is...good?

"Oh no, instead of polio and measles, people are cool and have new and different ways of thinking about things" is, uh, a really weird flex

After a day at the zoo, I aspired to manage at least 2K instead of 3K words, but brain last night was not capable of higher functioning. I felt like a 7-year-old. Hell, my 7-year-old brain was more capable back then. Very weird. I've been tired plenty, but not...brain-damaged from overstimulation?
