This is called “chain refoulment” and it’s illegal under both U.S. and international law. And the State Department and ICE know very well what Ghana is doing and simply don’t care.
ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

I have to wonder how much local LE/politicians/news orgs are kind of counting on the coming weather + holiday drowning this story out. Sharing this video at your Thanksgiving table might be an important thing you can do in the next couple of days.

The stupid pettiness of this administration knows no bounds. Seriously? Investigated? Ignoring the fact you CAN'T call a sitting Sentor back to service, THERE'S NOTHING TO INVESTIGATE. He didn't do anything wrong, and it's a simple "is it legal" boolean operator.
The Pentagon says it is investigating Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona for possible breaches of military law after Kelly joined a handful of other lawmakers in a video that called for U.S. troops to refuse unlawful orders. https://to.pbs.org/4pveBmm
Pentagon says it's investigating Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly after video urging troops to defy 'illegal orders'
It is extraordinary for the Pentagon, which until the second Trump term has usually gone out of its way to act and appear apolitical, to directly threaten a sitting member of Congress.

I like how full text search of every book and human thought ever was a SOLVED PROBLEM in 2001, and now dicks at search engines and my own phone – a piece of silicon faster to respond than God was ever imagined in scripture – prevent it from working, _as a retroactive infantilizing design choice_.

Incidentally, theft like this is why there won’t be a second Steelflower trilogy, why the Bannon & Clare series was canceled by the publisher, and why I will never do another collected SquirrelTerror book.
I did a thread a few weeks ago of "authors link your stuff" & one of my author friends who is one emergency away from being homeless had a massive spike in downloads on Anna's Archive from people *who follow me* complaining about how they are poor & should be allowed to steal from other poor people

I'd never heard of this site until tonight. Both my books are on there. Did you know my publisher offers one of three lowest royalty rates in the entire industry? And that I didn't get an advance? Literally all I make is from royalties. Royalties I don't earn when you pirate my book.
I posted a buy link here to "A Magical Inheritance" a few days ago, and 24 of you immediately went to Anna's Archives and fucking stole it from me.

Yes, stole it.

I do not get paid for your download there because YOU ARE STEALING FROM ME.

Listen, the best thing they could have done was have a spine back in, idk, 2016.

The second best thing was have a spine at any time since then.

But the 3rd best thing is definitely spite quitting just to let Dems take over and make Johnson cry.

Sean is giving away copies of my YA book, STONESKIN!
Here are 5 uncached US Kindle copies of Stoneskin: Prequel to the Deep Witches Trilogy, which I *think* allows @kbspangler.com to get a dollar. Maybe more. This is the book I've given away the most, btw. Over 300 copies so far!

I’m so tired of this. Its exhausting. We’re all broke and the people who steal books don’t care.

I’d bet a whole American dollar that saying “Please don’t steal from us” on social media is basically a challenge to double down and yoinks! away! on our titles.

At least then I’d get a dollar.

I'm tucking 'solution-shaped object' away for later use.
"writing code to solve a problem" used to have "understanding the problem" as a prerequisite. but vibecoding allows solution-shaped objects to be produced without any of the hard-won understanding. beware of solution-shaped objects.

Unsurprisingly, as usual this number is pulled from his ass. Inflation per state is all over the place. If anything it's grouped geographically.

FL/NC/WV/GA/VA/MD/DE are ALL at 22.4% inflation from 2021 (the highest current bracket)

All of New England is at 17.9% (the lowest current bracket)

All of this. And even past this, "I would rather potentially have a child dead from a painful and preventable disease than potentially one with neurodivergence" is one HELL of a take.
I think my biggest problem with the "vaccines cause autism" bullshit is that, even assuming they did (they don't, actually), neurodiversity is...good?

"Oh no, instead of polio and measles, people are cool and have new and different ways of thinking about things" is, uh, a really weird flex
