Make America Healthy Again. Really?

Double ACA premiums. Kick 15 million off health care. Undermine lifesaving vaccines and spark disease outbreaks.

The Trump administration is endangering the health of the American people.
The measles outbreak in South Carolina is “accelerating” with no end in sight following Thanksgiving and other large gatherings, state health officials say.

UPDATE: Another Chicago-area church has put up an immigration-themed Nativity scene.

A church member at Urban Village Church sent this one along, where Mary, Joseph and Jesus are gone and replaced with a sign that reads: “Due to ICE activity in our community, the Holy Family is in hiding.”

Gift article filled with insight. Tried the AI listening option and it's not bad. "Authoritarian China is a nation now run by engineers, he points out; democratic America has become a nation of lawyers, litigating development and delaying or derailing big heaves like California’s high-speed train."

Excellent article. The comments are amazing with some saying, "If you can't afford it, move somewhere else." Solving our housing problems in the US will require major cultural change. People will have to start thinking beyond their own self-interest and consider the well-being of their communities.

Bigot. Did your Jewish ancestors who came to America, found a new home, opportunity and assimilated “import their society” or recreated “the terrors of their broken homelands?”
Would you dare say the same about Italian Americans? Irish Americans? You’d fit right in 1938 Nuremberg, on the German side

Seriously, I hope the arresting officer is charged, and I hope this man’s family holds Walmart accountable. It’s bad enough that Walmart drove so many small businesses under—now they act with impunity. We really should expect higher standards from businesses in our communities.
A man suffering of dementia was shopping at Walmart with his wife. He lost track of her and they got separated. He was confused and walked behind a counter to pick up some beer & put it in his kart so Walmart employees called the cop on him.The cops arrested him for shoplifting & beat him.

Tatianа Schlossberg is a brilliant writer. This piece is astonishing - capturing a deep personal tragedy and a national one, especially the government’s assault on public health. Her descriptions of her son are charming. Wishing her strength and hoping RFK Jr. reads it and reconsiders his policies.
Heartbreaking piece by Tatiana Schlossberg. Gorgeous truth about nurses:

“I have never encountered a group of people who are more competent, more full of grace and empathy, more willing to serve others than nurses. Nurses should take over.”
