An announcement that art commissions are open! Color pieces are $150 for half body, $200 for full body. They are fully colored and shaded digital illustrations. Ink pieces are $75 for half body, $100 for full body. They are black and white digital illustrations with hatching and screen tone shading.

More information about commissions. Additional characters are $25 each. A simple background is included with the piece. Full environment or scene backgrounds start at an additional $50, with the price increasing based on complexity. I may turn down any commission for any reason. I will draw nonhumans (furry/anthro, monster, alien, etc.) and TTRPG characters. I may draw gore/body horror, NSFW/suggestive, and mecha/robots, but please ask first in your email request. I will not draw fanart or fan characters.

Guidelines for commissions. Email amaranthmorn@gmail.com with the commission type, a clear description of what you want, and any helpful image references! Pay via Paypal. I will invoice you for half before I start work and half after I finish the illustration but before delivery of the full piece. No refunds. Minor revisions are $5, but the first 3 are free. Significant revisions are $25 each. Revisions during the sketch stage are free. Artwork is for personal use only. It is not to be used for commercial purposes, political purposes, or training generative AI.

I don't like to burst bubbles, but this is from the Mar 1938 issue of WEIRD TALES, and was in a letter from Gertrude Hemken (1912-1992). Who was not a teenage girl, but one of the prolific letter-writers in WEIRD TALES during its initial run (1923-1954).

I'd really appreciate if writers these days took a look at their characters doing therapyspeak and whether that's appropriate for their work and their world.

By "therapyspeak" I mean speaking like this: "This is the emotion I'm feeling, and feeling that emotion makes me want to act in a way"
