So turns out I vastly overestimated how long it will take me to make a apple pie and it’s done at 2am… on the upside in the process of letting the pastry rest I did woodwork and cleaning all in to the wee hours so that’s something productive I guess.

god I love all the fake light tricks that were needed back then, I'd love a breakdown on how they achieved this

I see what seems like alpha cards that fade in and out to simulate volumetric lighting/GI

everything is so well tuned for the look

Improved how I make screen for the retro style CRT TV in Blender. Had to use Glossy BSDF and add things that can be reflected back for better look. Also, I think I'll go without volumetrics, for better showcasing the model.
