Here in MN we're fully in 'use the outdoors as an overflow refrigerator (and sometimes freezer) season', and I'm here for it! I know how to party.

Scientists: have you been the target of an online harassment campaign, doxxing, or weaponized FOIA requests? I'd like to talk to you about steps you had to take to protect your digital security for an upcoming Nature story. (You can be anonymous if necessary.)

RTs appreciated.

Last week me: I'm not peer reviewing for the rest of 2026. I've done enough.
Today me: Gets a request to review a "Systematic Scoping Review". Flips table. Accepts the request just to go off about review types.

So much to still figure out with the CBA but the Minnesota Lynx — already a top team — landing the No. 2 pick in the WNBA Draft sets them up for a big-time player.

A show where they make Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe drive a bus across the country with the Stud Budz, Paige Bueckers, Syd & TP, and Ellie Elephant. And at some point Chennedy Carter is added to the bus for absolutely no reason.

More unsolicited Christmas movie reviews. I'm now watching Champagne Problems (Netflix). I'm not in the business world. Is a baby-talking corporate executive a normal thing???????? 🤔

A shift in the WNBA.

In 2022, 6 black head coaches.

In 2026, 2 black head coaches, 0 black women.

There’s been progress — 7/15 are women, including 2 of color — but for a league that’s 60%+ black, does raise questions about why coaching hires don’t better reflect that.

This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.

I don't want to see your signature on emails. I had a handwriting analysis book as a kid, and it scarred me. I am judging you, and I don't want to judge you so please keep your signature private. Thank you!

I just love this. The University of Minnesota Library has launched book club kits! Students can take out six copies of the same book to read with friends. College kids need this sort of stuff now more than ever. 📚📖💙
