I'm Hanna, a creative director / tech artist / writer who has worked on 40+ games, movies, and TV shows. I have a background in interactive fiction, UI, film, programming, VFX, theatre, journalism, and religious cult studies, which is both strangely confluent and difficult to fit in 300 characters.

Okay Dell called me and promised that if the motherboard was indeed broken they wouldn't charge me for it (and would put that in writing), and apologized that this nightmare never ends. Multiple months, sending it there and back twice, two on-site visits, I JUST WANT MY LAPTOP FIXED OH MY GOD
After spending months getting Dell to fix my laptop, they finally did...and it looks like the new motherboard they put in is faulty. And they acknowledge that while that may be true, they want me to pay for another repair if I want them to fix it, because they believe existence should be pain

oh my god did you know that Dell warranties their replacement parts for 30 DAYS? So the fact that I found out that the $300 motherboard they put in my laptop is broken two months after they installed it is just like "lol sorry do you want to buy another one"

Tried to expend the storage on one of our cellphones and every SD card I try just results in Android crashing if you try to interact with it. But they also stopped giving the phone updates, so I guess I just... can't? Yay planned obsolescence

love it when Adobe just installs a new version of a program without me asking, deletes the old version off my computer without me asking, and now all my plugins and licenses are broken

The wildest thing is that Adobe killed Animate while they continue to support fucking DREAMWEAVER in the year of our lord 2026, for all of its 3 users who don't know there are other ways to make websites

I don't quite get modern MP games, where there's so much pressure to preform well right out of the gate, instead of joy being found in experimentation, screwing up, doing the wrong thing to spectacular results. I kind of want to play Highguard, but only if both teams are colossal fuckups.

So, as much as Highguard is being sold as a "new type of gameplay", it mostly seems like Unreal Tournament 2004's Assault maps, with a few extra complications? That's not a complaint at all, I sometimes still load up UT2K4 to play Assault with bots.
