I know we're all traumatized by Trump's re-election, but truly, I think we shouldn't believe that most Americans are falling for this "she was a fucking bitch, thus deserved to die" narrative.

MAGA is high on their own supply, in part because they treat Twitter as real life.
TAPPER: Is that Agent Ross's voice calling Renee Good a "fucking bitch"?

KRISTI NOEM: I can't determine which one it is, but it could be, sir

Noem is a liar and her agency is filled with liars. Receipts:

TAPPER: You called Renee Good a "domestic terrorist." Why did you not wait for an investigation?

NOEM: Everything I've said has been proven to be factual and the truth. This administration wants to operate in transparency.

T: What you said is not what happened

N: It absolutely is what happened

Fantastic piece.
Convenience is making us dull and stupid. AI will finish the job by removing the inconvenience of thinking.
Our planet is buried in convenient shit. Bad but easy food. Bad but easy art. Bad but easy narratives, followed by bad but easy conclusions. Prioritizing convenience disincentivizes the slow work of contemplation. Perhaps, even, of questioning. michaelianblack.substack.com/p/cheap-fast...

I agree. No one who supports Trump should be able to say "oh, I didn't see/hear about that post about Reiner."
Correct; shove it in their faces.

How many people do you know that continue to delude themselves on this because they’re too embarrassed to admit how easily fooled they were.

Make them feel discomfort.

@terrydresbach.bsky.social spent my Friday night manning the phone bank trying to stop the Indiana Republicans from the ridiculous gerrymandering they are shoving down our throats!

No we're not gonna set them on fire cuz they're all built in Black and brown neighborhoods or on protected wetlands and data center fires are extremely extremely EXTREMELY toxic and bad and dangerous

Go karts maybe?
First Responders Are Being Overwhelmed by Data Center Fires
First responders in a small Ohio town have answered 84 emergencies between two Amazon data centers, all on the taxpayer's dime.

@terrydresbach.bsky.social Happy Thanksgiving Terry. Hope it's a great day with Family and some good food. Somehow I have been made the maker of the dressing and that's it!

In my opinion it was the rise of the mega churches and this whole "traditional values" aka subjugation, and politics from the pulpit that have helped enable the far right. And it did start in the 70's
I don't think so. There's a long history of pro-choice and antiracist christian activism, and while there have always been better and worse churches, right-wing politics didn't have a foothold in every single major christian denomination until I would say the late 1970s.

The welfare state is about dignity, equality, and making people not poor, but as @itsafronomics.bsky.social says/cites here, it’s often also an investment that more than pays for itself
Why should you 🫵🏿 care about SNAP? SNAP recipients saw:

- Improved life expectancy
- Lower chance of incarceration
- Lowers chance of poverty
- Lived in better neighborhoods
- Higher human capital

SNAP keeps our neighbors fed, communities safer, and kids educated. Also people are HUNGRY. DUH!
