For Presidents’ Day this year, George W. Bush published a tribute to George Washington, praising him for"“relinquishing power rather than holding onto it" — and ensuring "America wouldn’t become a monarchy, or worse." nyti.ms/4rncYIJ
From One President to Another, a Love Letter With an Edge
To open a series of essays about U.S. presidents, George W. Bush pays tribute to George Washington, who “ensured America wouldn’t become a monarchy, or worse.”

ABC: Do you still have confidence in Pam Bondi as AG?

MASSIE: I don't think Pam Bondi has confidence in Pam Bondi. She wasn't confident enough to engage in anything but name calling in a hearing. So no, I don't. She was responsible for the document production.

Miss America, Miss Universe. Isn't that a bit like Michael Vick owning a series of pet stores? It's a f-cking catch and release program for him.

Democrats are outraged by Pam Bondi's performance as attorney general. Maybe they shouldn't have been so quick to reject Matt Gaetz just because he has sex with teenagers.

I love this because I know for a fact that that dude saying those things, in that accent, is eating them up with rage.

There’s a very good chance that some rando Repub strokes out as a result of watching this.

So stupid. This doesn’t hurt Harvard. It does hurt the military by denying promising officers the ability to further their education and expand their horizons.

It boggles my mind that this isn’t what people want.

Like these people say to themselves,”Of course I deserve better care than that person.”

Or like some people I know, “Of course that person deserves better care than me, they’re rich.”
Imagine a country where no matter who you are, where you grew up, or how much money you make, you’re treated as an equal when you walk into a clinic.

I am one of your constituents.

Please tell Schumer not to cave.

He has no idea how out of touch he is, nor how angry voters will be if he continues to ignore the Democratic base.

If Dem senators vote to extend the DHS CR again, they are instantly going to lose a tremendous amount of support from their base who have been in wait-and-see mode on this. I can only assume Dem senators considering this have completely lost touch with their voters. Don’t do it.

The annual “Moby-Dick” Marathon reading, held at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, is a radical act—and a profound kind of literary patriotism, James Parker argues.
The Marathon Moby-Dick Reading Is a Radical Act
It’s an all-analog mass redreaming of a flawed American gospel: superbly countercultural.
