Kind of seems like transphobes don’t actually care that much about women? How odd

Edinburgh has gone turbo-charged instagram-scape since like 2010. What happened to the scruffy little cafes smelling of incense?

Some rare good news for trans people – the transphobic amendment to the Data Bill was defeated by a large margin. It would have forced trans people to out themselves virtually daily, putting people's safety and dignity at risk, so it's great to see MPs reject it comprehensively.

As a Scot, this grinds my gears! It’s usually from Scots who’ve never lived outside of Scotland but made a cosy bubble for themselves in Edinburgh and Glasgow (where the testament to Scotland’s wealth from empire is assembled in streets and stone buildings).

The vote share of the two biggest parties has been falling steadily for decades.

Recent polling shows it could fall below 50%. And yet we still have a voting system designed to silence all other voices.

It's time for a system update. It's time for PR.

And, the changing character of the USA throughout the 60s is done subtly and gradually. Also enjoy the geographies in it, such as the changing dynamics of New York City and its neighbourhoods, as well as the growth of California and how it’s contrasted with the east.

It’s brilliant. Those women rise to significant power and their characters grow, while the men stagnate into crisis. Also love that historical events happen in the background and shape their everyday lives, rather than being at the centre of the plot.

Had the privilege of attending a symposium on the launch of ‘Building Modern Scotland’ today, by @alistairfair.bsky.social @vawright10.bsky.social, Miles Glendinning and others.

Was impressed by the project’s engagement with planning, and the social and political context of of the Clyde region.
