It seems James Woods has finally realised Trump aint all that. And all it took was something personal.

Wouldnt it be a Christmas miracle if the thing which proves to be Trump’s undoing is badmouthing Rob Reiner? It’s what Rob would have wanted.

It's a movie about a man who receives thousands of letters, has amazing gifts, is constantly surrounded by snow and who always knows if you've been naughty or nice - which is why I wish to go on the record to say that 'The Dead Zone' is, in fact, a Christmas film.

Rob Reiner: “Silence in the face of authoritarianism is complicity. Speaking out is a patriotic act. Democracy doesn’t defend itself. It requires participation, vigilance, and courage from ordinary people."

Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.

When I interviewed Spinal Tap and Marty DiBergi this summer, none of them broke character, for the whole hour. Except Rob Reiner, once, losing it when Michael McKean's David St Hubbins talked about minimalism. I didn't use this in the feature and hadn't published any audio, but this is joyful.

Trump taking a predictable swipe at Rob Reiner; a man so dearly missed and who brought so much greatness to this world. When Trump’s day comes, there will be parties. Two opposing legacies.

Rob Reiner was funny and gregarious, just like you’d expect. Michele Reiner always insisted on one conversation at a time around a dinner table so everyone could participate. Such a tragedy. All my sympathy to their family.

Rob Reiner was a good guy. He made a lot of movies about good guys, in worlds where not everyone was good and you didn’t have to be good. He made movies about people trying. He was angry, as many hopeful people are. He knew the world could be better and he wanted it to be. His death is devastating.

Shocked by the awful death of Rob Reiner. I spoke with him for over an hour last night. We talked about his work and his plans for the future. I always enjoyed his company. We met at his Dad's in 1975. Last thing he said to me was "See you next year.." Such a terrible end. Such a sweet man.

I just watched her explain on Graham Norton how her son wrote a story, she read it, said, “we’re making this into a film,” made it happen, and even personally persuaded Helen Mirren into taking a role. How hilariously oblivious do you have to be to then make a claim like this?

Mia Threapleton is great in The Phoenician Scheme, an obvious talent. But how many actresses never got in the door to audition. And how many 21 year old men get their scripts read by Netflix, let alone adapted, and oh yes my famous mummy is directing it
