Really sad news. Always seemed like such a lovely man - I remember one Primal Scream gig in Sheffield where he sat in the university bar with his mate and just chatted happily with anyone who came up to him. Watching the Roses reunion where him and Reni held the whole show together was a joy.

Moore rather gave the game away on Today just now when he mentioned climate change as one of the things on which the BBC should be impartial. Treating the truth and lies as though they are equal isn't impartiality, it's an abdication of the most basic journalistic responsibility

That the UK - one of the architects of this fund, designed to save the world’s forests - is now refusing to put any money into it is frankly shameful. Starmer’s claim that he still continues to back the fund is meaningless without resources - so much for climate leadership

Fascinating to read Lennon's thoughts on the conversion of The Beatles mono recordings to stereo in the early 70s. I had previously read a paraphrased version of the Revolution 1 quote, but not the part about the Red & Blue album mixes. 'Embarrassing' is a strong word to use.

Meanwhile, seven out of ten ethnic minority voters say that they are.
