I can’t believe you lefty Luddites hate tech so much that you embrace mRNA vaccines, heat pumps, electric bikes, hybrid work, renewable power (and awesome advancements in storage), space telescopes, and hot/cold running water but reject the planet destroying plagiarism enrich the worst people bots!

If you killed an entire family with a gun or knife, you'd be a murderer. But if you do it with your car at 70mph, it's just an accident. The world needs to reckon with its car problem yesterday.

This week's visitors include crows (for the first time in my tree!) and this less common sparrow I've seen a couple times.

I already have plans for more bird feeders :>

I haven't masked in a while but I've thought about it a lot recently since so many people have been sick around me. I decided to bring one today and two separate people are coughing near me at the bus stop so I know I made the right choice! It's on and probably not coming off, even in the office.

No matter how many phone calls I make, I will never stop being awkward on the phone. I just can't seem to strike a good balance between friendly and professional and not saying too much but making sure I provide enough information. It just always feels so unnatural and bizarre.

The "tale of two Americas" really felt on-display tonight. Bad Bunny showcased the reality of our multicultural nation and world in front of millions while the federal government attempts to disparage and destroy that reality at the same time, also in front of millions.

Two people near me on the bus are taking turns sniffling. Ah...the beautiful sounds of winter

Yesterday's star visitors to my new bird feeder were many noisy song sparrows and a beautiful dark-eyed junco. And a silly little squirrel, of course.

ICE activities have gotten the majority of the attention recently (rightfully so), but I'm wondering how the efforts to dismantle the structure of the federal government are going as I prepare to pay my taxes to these evil assholes 🤮

Nearly 60% of Americans are either strongly interested, or open to car-free living. Those are HUGE numbers for a country without meaningful transit service in many places. Less cars in day-to-day life is not at all a pipe dream.
“The majority of Americans are open to living car-free even after decades of car-centric planning, a new survey finds…A stunning 18% of car-owning U.S. residents indicated that they were ‘strongly interested’ in living car-free, and another 40% said that they were ‘open’ to it.” @usa.streetsblog.org
Survey: Most Americans Are Open To Ditching Their Cars — Streetsblog USA
Automakers have spent a century and countless trillions of dollars making car-dependent living the American norm. But U.S. resident still aren't sold, a new survey suggests.

You could actually structure your moral code around the idea that law enforcement doesn't exist to execute people. You don't have to create perfect victim narratives, you can just refuse to accept that the state gets to kill people.

You wouldn't blast an air horn at someone, race to get ahead of them in line somewhere, or assume someone making a little mistake is a moron trying to hurt you. So why is doing all of these things suddenly socially acceptable if you're behind the wheel of a car?

As an American, I am fully in support of things sucking for Americans domestically if that means that Trump and anyone who enabled him actually faces consequences for their actions. Other countries SHOULD be jacking up prices and canceling American tourist visas. Why wouldn't they?
