To be honest it's mainly about records. MDANT🏅 unlikely though that seems

A new playlist for a new year. A post Christmas mix of old friends and new discoveries, that hopefully reflects the curious mix of melancholy and optimism that seems to occur at this time of year.

I've just caught up, a horrible story beautifully told. Let the arse kicking of cancer commence. Take care my friend

My one issue with Bluesky is the amount of posts I seem to miss. Somehow this is the first I've seen from yourself about what you're going through. I wish you nothing but the best Niall, and hope that things start looking up for you.

, @juderogers.bsky.social 's newsletter of super interesting things is a weekly treat. In a world rammed full of distractions it's always good to have a trusted voice point you in the direction of the good stuff.

Watched it this afternoon. I didn't mind it, I enjoyed the performances and in my cold ridden state I appreciated the slow Sunday afternoonness of it. Can't say I'll be rushing to watch it again though

I wrote an Opinion piece for @theguardian.com about extortionate gig ticket prices (prompted by Harry Styles' Wembley Stadium residency). www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I don't have a problem with Harry Styles, by the way. He seems like a decent enough guy and his music's fun. Just the prices.
What could bring down extortionate ticket prices? Perhaps stars like Harry Styles taking a stand | Simon Price
The knock-on effect on the rest of the industry is immense. There are many factors at play, but the ones with the power here are the big artists, says music journalist and author Simon Price

This may be my favourite Peanuts strip. I remember reading it as a kid and (as with an awful lot of Charlie Brown) finding it excruciatingly relatable.

Two brilliant performances. You do actually forget that you're watching actors and not a real conversation

A film that feels like a Sunday afternoon with not much to do and all the time in the world to do it. Yes it's slow, but it's oddly soothing.

Looking out over the fields near Park Street roundabout has never been so exciting. I'll definitely pay a little bit more attention when digging in the garden that's for sure.

Such a gripping read, and proof (if any was really needed) that this green and pleasant land has a darkness that lies just below the surface.

Entirely gripped by this, particularly when I realised that I can see the possible site of Boudicca's last battle from my dining room windows. A fact that I was entirely unaware of despite living here for over fifty years. Many thanks

A good man sings...
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.
