In preparing for my most recent Supreme Court argument, I realized that I have something in common with the Court’s conservative members. Like them, I do not believe there should be “second-class” constitutional rights subject to judicial balancing. If something is a right, it must be protected.

Another note on this- as @ringsidenews.com points out, the discharge petition locked when it hit 218 signatures meaning no one else could sign. Other Republicans (LaLota, Salazar, Valadao) have since signaled they would also have signed had then been able and may support the bill on the floor
FOUR REPUBLICANS just signed the House Democratic discharge petition to force a House vote on the Hakeem Jeffries bill to extend health care tax credits for 3 years: Brian Fitzpatrick (PA), Mike Lawler (NY), Rob Bresnahan (PA), and Ryan Mackenzie (PA). Gives it the required 218 signatures. Huge news
