I'm fascinated by Specification Driven Development (SDD), but GitHub Spec-Kit blew through Claude Code credits like water. Going go try OpenSpec instead -- supposed to be 1/10th, and easier. #BuildInPublic

I wonder what the #BuildInPublic crowd has to say about a $3/mo Coding Assistant.

(I couldn’t survive a week using Claude’s $20/mo tier — kept hitting the limit.)
Looks like bad news for the Silicon Valley boys, China selling equivalent products for just over 1% of the price www.techloy.com/americas-200... The SV model might make business sense to Donald Trump, but not to anyone who lives in the real world.

Zhipu AI has released GLM-4.7, an open-source AI coding model that matches several premium competitors on key benchmarks while costing $3 per month, or free if you run it locally.

Hey #BuildInPublic, what advice is there to avoid AI code builders from creating new projects with old dependencies?

For example, a new project is using Tailwind 3 instead of 4, and Vite 6 instead of 7. 😡 Ironically, it was using React 19.

It's true. Renewables drive up your electricity prices! I mean, look at Australia. They're going all in on renewables and soon at certain times of the day, the price will sky rocket to... *check notes* ...free!?

Looking at the current AGI hype, my bullshit detector isn’t just buzzing – it’s screaming.

I’m comparing this amount of money to making and promoting a movie. And $220 million seems like a lot for “DHS Ads.” 🤔
NEW: We’ve uncovered the first known example of taxpayer money flowing from DHS to businesses controlled by Kristi Noem’s allies and friends.

It’s part of a money trail that’s been shrouded in secrecy—and involves $220 million, a mysterious Delaware LLC & a horse named Gill.

Could someone explain it to me, please?
