The decision by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to downgrade its recommendations to protect infants from hepatitis B is a dangerous move that will harm children.

#ACIP just voted to scrap the universal hepatitis B birth-dose recommendation.

There is no new safety signal. No scientific rationale.

We are dismantling a 30-year-old, cancer-preventing policy that has nearly eliminated hepatitis B in U.S. children. 1/2
A panel that advises #CDC on vaccine policy votes to do away with the recommendation all babies should be vaccinated against #hepatitisB at birth. "We are doing harm," said panel member Cody Meissner, who voted against this #ACIP recommendation. www.statnews.com/2025/12/05/c...

From 2016, another piece featuring my favourite 'thing under tree' motif, 'White Hart.' Ink, 85 x 125 mm.

Trivia: the stag here combines features of both the red and fallow deer to suggest a mythological creature rather than a real animal.

Some of what I have learned from bopping around indie projects, my friend and I doing these weekly movie watches and in my own daily work is distribution does not equal control or even production involvement. Is this correct?
Saw a post suggesting that Oz Perkins should “leave NEON” so that he’s freer to make the kinds of movies he wants.

Did you know NEON distributed the last three Perkins movies, not financed them? Do you know what an acquisition is? If yes, yay! If not, read next post.

I saw a random reddit comment where someone theorized that Pennywise and Mary Poppins were the same species of primordial psychic entity, but Pennywise feeds on fear while Poppins feeds on joy. both of them eat kid emotions because fear and joy are more intense in kids. This is Canon for me now.

I’m no movie art expert, but the thing that always grabbed me about Drew Struzan’s art was that the figures in his work always looked like they were made of light. (Yeah yeah, “luminous beings.”)

It’s a quality that, of course, maps to movie imagery so perfectly.
