I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.
A tweet by Sarah Longwell (@SarahLongwell25
) reads: "He’s threatening media companies who are critical of him. He’s talking about sending Americans to foreign prisons. He’s signing executive orders to investigate former staff members who spoke out against him. Don’t you see what’s happening here?"

Nice! The accuracy of my georeferencing improved. A good cluster of control points.

I am so judgemental at the moment I should be ashamed. But I'm not. I like my moral high ground.

Motivational music for me as I georeference historic aerials in search of an old cemetery. Am I the only one who holds their breath while adding control points?

I know the world is in flames and we're on the precipice of a new dark age etc etc, but does anyone have a good source for bird-sound ring tones?

Was looking back at a CRM report and remembered photos from an onsite visit. Beautiful stratigraphy representing Early Archaic through late Prehistoric/Precontact. Unit width is 2 meters, so that gives an idea of depth. Matrix was a compact silty sand, which made excavation a joy. #archaeology

I've worked with Nick through various capacities, including on distillery sites. He's done great work. His current office is just a few blocks from mine.

Camping with my scout troop. It's therapy for my soul. Gives me hope for our future.

In the past few days, I’ve been talking on and offline with folks about COVID protocols. And for every person who is dismissive, I find several who just don’t know. So if you’re an organizer who would like more info, reach out - I’d be glad to talk to you for free

For all my dog-loving followers:
A stunning #Greek rhyton (drinking cup) in the shape of a #dog's head. Dating ca. 475 BC.

Life without #dogs is possible, but pointless!

so it turns out that Nagasawa Rosetsu anticipated the now-venerable doge meme centuries in advance, in the 1700s:
