Robin Skeates asks a question. My answer is that we need the international lingua franca but the native language publications as well. But more initiatives to empower non-English speakers, please. @antiquity.ac.uk #Archaeology

For me, Ancient Music Ireland playing the Loughnashade horns were the highlight of my night.

Theyre so loud!!! Keep Romans off your lawn with these baddies!

What a fun idea!
Still haven’t booked for Mini Museum Explorers?

Our next session is this Tuesday, and we’ll be exploring light and shadow in all sorts of fun ways: from shadow play and sensory games to a dark tent and hands-on activities about animals that come out by day or night.

Absolute shame on them for caving in to Zionist bullies and, thereby, betraying the values of academic freedom they claim to uphold 1/

Madame Curie visited Glasgow in 1929, being hosted by Professor Archibald Young and Mrs Anna Young.

Here is a photo of Irene Curie, Madame Curie, and Mrs Young enjoying the fresh Scottish air at Loch Fyne 😅

This new take on object agency is groundbreaking and beautiful! The lines between art and artefacts are conceptual at best, so seeing this meld gives us room to consider artefacts in a new way.

Just love it. #archaeology #heritage

Museums designed for quiet contemplation now also have to accommodate phones and selfies. Not saying it's bad - just different. The question is how to adapt without losing what makes these spaces special. The challenge is to design an experience where the phone is included, but doesn't take over.
