Everyone, and I do mean everyone wants to dump their responsibility in this on Joe. That has really been POing me for quite some time.

Joe has fewer protections that you do. The consequences for Joe not following lawful orders (like go to DC and mow the lawns) can be huge for him and his family.
The military has a duty to refuse unlawful orders, but Congress has a duty to remove from office a president and secretary who would issue such orders. There is something off about members of Congress talking about the former while refusing to say the latter, the part that's actually their job here.

Radio Paradise never fails to deliver. The Global Mix is extra tasty tonight.

If you've never.... you should. Any of the channels will do. They are all good. Been listening to this since '00 when they sold it as eclectic radio and had cool Vitruvian Man swag.

These bastards are going to start a war and kill a whole bunch of people because they've never showed up for one (yes, I know Petie Pushup was supposed in the GWOT, I've seen his awards and scare list, and know what infantrymen do, he might have been in theater, but he was a no show bolo otherwise.

Sitting here in the middle of the night working on a drawing with Mexican music blaring in the background on Radio Paradise after scarfing down a giant bowl of grains, chicken, and peas seasoned with nori, sesame seeds, and a Japanese bbq sauce. Does it get any better? 🤷‍♂️🤣

Anyone who thinks this isn't part of a right wing Hail Mary designed keep trump, and then one of their hand-picked successors in office in perpetuity is rather foolish.

Alaska National Guard officials say they have received the Pentagon’s order to prepare for “civil disturbance operations” but have not begun training.

That's putting it extremely generously. Dunleavy has done one thing consistently throughout his time in Alaska -- steal public money and put it in his pockets. As governor, he has not only shown an inability to manage public funds or use them responsibly, he has refused to unless it benefits him.

this man is the richest on earth not because of anything he's accomplished but because he owns large amounts of a stock whose value is completely based on wealthy investors believing that he is most brilliant human being ever to live
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

Doesn’t that describe most of the wars we’ve launched since the 90s (at least)? OK, maybe we could always gin up some support in the past, but we are the laughing stock of the international community of nations at this point. What kind of morons would elect most of our politicians? Much less trump?
Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:

-No casus belli
-No authorization from Congress
-No allies or international support
-No plan for a post-Maduro Venezuela
-No preparation for any sort of stabilization or containment of the fallout

If they were really thinking, they would work it out, with full transparency (please trail committee) to auction or sell off the blankets after, with rich people buy in raffle to give some to village kids and low income schools across the nation. Funding, so many good and inspiring stories, a winner
Looks like you have to get on their list to participate, so as to avoid them receiving too many. But what a cool project!

Same.

Say… have we thought about a big hole with alligators, and rattlesnakes, and lawn darts in the bottom—you know with all the dangerous stuff—with signs all around it that say, “Don’t fall in big hole” with something shiny on the other side just outside the WH? Likely catch a lot of them. 🤷‍♂️
Huh…thought it was something from Trumps Oval Office gaudy tchotchke fixation.

Congress… where leadership is defined as living the American dream by denying it to Americans. It’s one of the best get rich quick schemes going.

Rock on, Gold Dust Woman
Take your silver spoon, dig your grave
Heartless challenge
Pick your path and I'll pray

Wake up in the morning
See your sunrise, loves to go down
Lousy lovers pick their prey
But they never cry out loud, cry out

It all started when Bush, Cheney, and that crew of committed conservatives decided “enhanced interrogation” and out of sight (but not really) black sites are OK.

Decide the government can take one man’s rights, you are on a short path to losing your own. Gotta’ love the pain when it comes.
When asked if Donna’s medical needs were being met, James Brown’s answer was immediate: “No, sir.”

He described unsanitary conditions — “the toilet stayed clogged for a week” — and said a guard “made her eat a pill off the floor.” His testimony highlights disturbing conditions inside ICE detention.
