An eruption from the #HayliGubbi volcano in #Ethiopia resulted in a large ash cloud, visible here from space. 🌋

This impressive view was seen 36,000km above Earth by our Meteosat-12 satellite on 23 November at 13:40 UTC.

Una fulguración solar de gran intensidad provoca una tormenta geomagnética severa y un raro evento de partículasEl pasado 11 de noviembre, a las 10:04 hora canaria, el Sol emitió una potente fulguración de clase X5, una de las más intensas registradas en este ciclo solar. El fenómeno se originó en la región activa 4274 y vino acompañado por al menos dos eyecciones de masa coronal (CME, por sus siglas en inglés) que fueron lanzadas directamente en dirección a la Tierra.
