Didn't al-qaeda use email drafts in Gmail to communicate with each other
Can you think of examples where people use technologies differently from what the developers intended, whether unintentionally or as an act of resistance?

I know they're wrong and dumb on purpose but even just as a dollar amount... if the stock market being "over $50,000" is noteworthy, how little money are we to understand is in the stock market?? Like, is 200 shares of Apple stock the entirety of it??

We need a national service program, not for "defense" but so that writers who live in NY, DC, or SF can feel a l
more secure about their masculinity. It doesn't need to be military service, we can put them to work cutting fire lines in the national forests, just get these guys a real job for a bit
There is a Kinda Guy that is absolutely gaga for Gruff-Aesthetic White Guy Who Says Kinda Lefty Things. Their love for this is *not* strategic or instrumental to some end, such a person is an object of intrinsic attraction to them, and a strong one at that. They will rationalise anything for this.
I also am baffled that people are assuming this super checkered barely known guy will be super progressive as though we're not living in a post Fetterman universe.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

Bad night to be an anonymous henchman at the club

These people who do Skeleton in the winter Olympics are like legit daredevils. That should be the new name of the sport. Daredevil Sledding. This is the pre-Evel Knievel shit they'd do in a circus from the 1930's

The "Get Fucked, Ted Cruz" Tour continues
The Virginia Supreme Court has ruled that the state can put a redistricting plan on the ballot this spring that could add as many as four more Democratic seats in Congress.

The referendum will take place on April 21.

Spent the whole morning engineering a way to attach a dog poop trash can to a tree with the parts on hand without drilling into the tree. I still need to camouflage the zip ties but. I think it's pretty good

And it's why Democrats are fighting to rein in the Death Star."

"look at what these lunatic snowbound people came up with when they went winter-mad for 6 months every year" is a particularly compelling genre of athletics
while i like the summer olympics more, in general, i definitely shout “get over here! look at these maniacs!” a lot more during the winter games

Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”

There’s a vote in DC tomorrow that would give DHS $11 billion more in funding. Schumer and Jeffries have already walked back any “demands” they had for DHS.

I, for one, do not think this timing is just a coincidence. Turn down the temp for the vote. Turn it right back up when the bag is secured.
