Just this guy.

I dig MST3K, film, retro games, Muppets, Iron Chef, hosted movie shows, birdwatching, horror/sci-fi, pro wrestling, oldies/jazz music, coffee mugs, tacky aloha shirts, etc.

Howdy!

You Can't Take It with You.

It rivals Arsenic & Old Lace and It's a Wonderful Life as my favorite Capra joint. Not sure which one takes the title.

But it's just a chaotically rambunctious rollercoaster of a comedy. That ending is so purely happy, and I am *all for that* right about now.

We revere the McRib, but that thing was standard for Baltimore public school kids.

I remember it. Exact same taste. Same bread, no toppings. I swear to fucking god.

That is one of the most “you know ball” based takes I’ve seen in a long time, and a guy like me need to see him stand on that business, because I AGREE.

Which now takes me to this Crossmen performance from 1997, which closed with Niner Two and also includes Joe Zawinul's Birdland and You Are My Sunshine based off of The Singers Unlimited arrangement. The drum line was smokin' and the color guard could DANCE.

My fave thing about Bone Tomahawk? Everyone warning me about THAT scene, although I had no idea what they were cautioning me about.

me, a good chunk of the way through the film: "What was everyone warning me about? I don't get it."

me, watching THAT scene: "OH GOD OH HELL OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO"
Not much of a western guy, but Tombstone is absolutely a must for me. I'll watch that any time, any day. I'd also add Bone Tomahawk and In A Valley Of Violence.

A+ for that theme song alone.

♫ MOOOOON! ZE! RO! TWOOOOOO! ♫

BONUS: this 1990 #MST3K ep contains THIS riff about Dotard Chump.

[scene: cartoon limo rolls after good guys]

Joel: Hey, it's [Dotard Chump], he's chasing the good guys away, that doesn't make any sense.

Servo: It makes PERFECT sense!
