But Carbon Brief exposes that is cherry-picks assumptions to reach a predetermined conclusion.

Pavement color differentiation is key to safer infrastructure design. When it looks like car infrastructure, dark asphalt, it will be treated like car infrastructure.

Color differentiation breaks up the grey. It commands attention and makes clear the modalities. The best design is the most obvious.
Scheme not yet complete, red top and some lining still to go on, but I cannot express strongly enough how much easier and safer this route feels compared to how it was before!

Good to see mainstream coverage of “deplaytion” - the loss and decline of neighbourhood playgrounds, and of a tolerance of children’s neighbourhood play.

It’s critical that this issue is taken as seriously - in terms of children’s mental health - as social media.

Thanks @anooshc.bsky.social.

that's why I like my e-bike. My commute is a consistent 34 minutes with a standard error of +/- 1 min. Based on three years of commutes with a speed-limited legal e-bike. By car is anywhere between 20 and 40 mins, average 25 mins but occasionally up to an hour.

👏 Another big win this week but for cyclists at train stations!

British Transport Police will now investigate bike thefts at stations even if bikes are left for over two hours. A real campaign win made possible by supporters speaking up.

Good news for children’s lungs - now we need fewer cars on our roads.
We phased out leaded petrol for health. Time to do it again.

Experts say petrol and diesel cars are unlikely to vanish overnight. Instead, they expect a gradual decline as buying habits change and older vehicles are retired.

FWIW, I think we need more devolution of transport and for England, I have had enough of the centralisation of so many aspects of transport. I'd support long distance "things" being under UK operation and pretty much everything else developed where there is local accountability. Yes, quite federal.
A proposed amendment to the Railways Bill that would devolve power to Wales over its own railways has been denied amidst Westminster and the Senedd’s continued arguing over whether the nation is receiving its fair share of funding for its rail network

Just went on a school mums night out (brilliant). At least half of the 15+ attendees came by bike. Most of the rest walked. Wasn't just us - more than 20 bikes parked up at the Jolly Farmers in Oxford's Florence Park.

Does your city allow you to do this? Nag your politicians if not!

The changes aimed to improve safety, but too many people still don’t know the rules. We’re urging the government to invest in an awareness campaign that actually reaches people.
