I'm glad I spent the last two weeks trying to educate myself on the history of Venezuela so that my takeaway from this morning's events didn't end up being, "Dictator=Bad so this is good"

I'm hardly original in saying this, but a lot of people are going to try to make this about whether Maduro being gone is good or bad as such, rather than the blatant violation of international and US law in a destabilizing act of aggression.

My favorite piece of the 2026 New Year's Concert has been the "Railway Galop", by Lumbye, so I had to record it.
Like, c'mon, a steam trin themed piece, using an actual vintage train bell and train related sound effects?
(Bluesky only allows 3 mins max, so I had to remove part of the intro, sorry)
