Folks, you can go into settings and REQUIRE alt text to be added to every post with visuals.

I make slug titles a bit snarky or teasing:

(Almost) Legendary - so is the story or the lead legendary or not legendary, what the hell is going on here

W\\cked - two claw swipes rep'd by slashes suggesting hot monsters

Lazarus Girl - does she raise the dead or is she raised from the dead or what
TOPIC: Let's talk names. We're #kidlitchat, which seemed spot on. But how do you come up with your character names? Place names? Or even... ... project names (aka titles!)?

I am not a starter of hashtag challenges but if anyone else is, I feel like a "cut scenes" prompt would generate interesting results. Ex: Share a cut line or paragraph with the word ____ in it.

It's work that goes unseen so it'd be interesting to see, minus context, what bits authors nixed.

For survivors of childhood SA: nothing about this moment is easy. These events can stir up pain that’s been buried for a long time. It’s okay to take distance. This collective upheaval can feel personal. Let yourself rest. You’re allowed to come back slowly.

A major avalanche in the "high risk" Avalanche Warning zone (per Sierra Avalanche Center) has occurred in the vicinity of Castle Peak, near Truckee. It unfortunately sounds like over a dozen people (skiers) were in the path, and some are still missing.
10 skiers missing, 6 stranded after avalanche in California
The avalanche happened near the town of Truckee. Ten of the skiers were unaccounted for, while rescue crews were headed toward the six others, authorities said.

Like this. "You must strategically abandon the specific issues that the right has rendered toxic & focus on others."

But then ... why wouldn't the right just be able to do the same thing on those other issues?

I have never heard the rain pummel down this hard before. It has come and gone in waves, going completely silent in between each wave. I'll be fine as there's little risk of flooding or mudslides here.

Thinking of the burn areas impacted by the Palisades Fire and hoping they get through this okay.

The left tried for decades to pass green energy subsidies, passed them, the subsidies worked, and now literally the entire planet's electricity grid is going to convert to solar+battery. It just doesn't feel like "tech" because it mostly produces kinda boring blue collar jobs instead of billionaires

Trump's election bill tops 50 Senate votes, but Democrats could still block it
The SAVE America Act has passed the House and enjoys President Trump's support, meaning the Senate's 60-vote threshold is the only thing standing in the way of its becoming law.

A Democratic lawmaker gave that decisive vote—as she has on other GOP bills.
