microgrids are #solarpunk AF

communities come together, pool resources, build out the solar and microgrid, then keep the power local

Puerto Rico is just one of the places making huge strides in microgrids

Death before detransition and I don't mean mine. No Newsom. Find a decent human being.
Here's why I can't support Gavin Newsom ever.

Gavin Newsom keeps hanging out and publicly agreeing with the men responsible for shifting the public in favor of killing my community.

Death before detransition, and detransition includes ANY detransition. I don't care what the law says.

YES. I've been begging for this. They are running illegal detention facilities in office buildings. Municipalities shut down businesses all the time for health code or zoning violations far less severe than ICE's. Pressure your cities!

"In June 2025, DHS waived the original 12-hour limit on holding people at field offices, increasing it to 72 hours...between July and October 15, at least 336 people were held at the Dallas ICE field office for more than 72 hours."

Love that AI, a thing we hate and don’t want, steals everything, ruins everything, shittifies everything. Drinks our water, plagiarizes our art, pisses all over our information fidelity, drives kids to suicide, serves the right-wing, and fucks up our devices and services. Good job, techbros!

We’ve spent the last two decades learning that an information stream designed exclusively for the purpose of validating and reinforcing your priors makes people delusional and unhinged. This is just the ultimate expression of that.
NEW: ChatGPT and other chatbots are feeding users' fixations on real people, reinforcing users' delusional ideas and obsessions about others as they descend into unwanted harassment, stalking, and/or domestic abuse — traumatizing victims and profoundly altering lives.

The Trump administration's handling of the legal immigration system is so malignant and incompetent that ICE ended up deporting a human trafficking victim seemingly because so many people have quit that her application for relief was sitting in a mailroom in a box unopened.

"Law" under Trump; lawyers inside USCIS were handed pre-written memos and told they had 10 minutes to read them and respond.

When the lawyers said the memos had problems, they were told to ignore them anyway because the admin doesn't care what the law says.

Incredible story that is worth your time to read. It exposes the ways in which the Trump admin is turning the legal immigration system into yet another arm of the mass deportation machine, transforming a benefits agency into a trap for those seeking legal status.

Living in Hollywood, I'd rather not generate garbage that was illegally trained on the work of almost everyone I know. I happen to give a shit about creative industries and the people who make their living by being a part of them.

And I don't want AI's fossil fuel ramp up to destroy our planet!
Writers if you could drop your novel or short story into an AI and have it make a great and watchable movie out of your story, and you could sell that movie, would you do it? #writers #WritingCommunity

If your legislation to stop "voter fraud" prevents 21 million legitimate voters from voting, your legislation itself is voter fraud.
The SAVE Act would require American citizens to show documents like a passport or birth certificate to register to vote. Our research shows that more than 21 million Americans lack ready access to those documents. bit.ly/4rA2p4R
New SAVE Act Bills Would Still Block Millions of Americans From Voting

An ethics waiver.
Unprecedented corruption doesn’t even begin to describe what man Bag Man Homan, Miller, and Noem are doing here….
The current person in charge of ICE's procurement for detention is a GEO Group executive who ran the company's immigration detention portfolio. He was granted an "ethics waiver" from DHS allowing him to hand out contracts to GEO in his new role.
