With their long necks, Sandhill Cranes are especially skilled at #OddAngles, which makes them perfect for today's #BirdOfTheDay.

We are on a South African adventure and had the privilege of spending a bit of time with some very well dressed friends. This African Penguin was returning from a quick swim in the ocean and seemed quite happy about it!
Listed as a critically endangered species.

I absolutely agree. One of my favorite things about bird photography is that I never know what I'm going to see each time I go out, and unexpected encounters happen fairly frequently.
