This Indigenous Peoples Day please speak up: another typhoon sweeping away homes of Alaska's Natives, who, during settlement (statehood: 1948) were forced to end ways of life (like my Grandma's) involving mobility across regions & stuck them in flood-prone/unstable villages with housing deficits.

What D’Angelo said Black Messiah means. It came out at the end of 2014 and it was so needed.

Article (Nolan Feeney; TIME) excerpt reads: “Black Messiah is a hell of a name for an album. It can be misunderstood. Many will think it's about religion. Egypt has extremely strict gun control laws. Civilians are only permitted to own handguns -- no rifles or shotguns -- and only if they can prove they need the weapon for a specific purpose. Background checks for licensing are extensive and include vetting of family members and psych evaluations.

Columbus Day largely exists to quell anti-Italian sentiment. It got so bad that in 1891, New Orleans saw the largest lynching in American history, where a mob murdered 11 Italian-Americans. People accused Italian migrants of being prone to crime or having Mafia ties.
