Good, OP! I hope she does really well and leaves your ass! You are a pathetic man if you can’t support your partner in their success!

Do some of you remember how I said a few months ago that the fascists aren't having fun? They still aren't, lol.

Their parties [when they have them] SUCK.

They make bad art.

They aren't funny.

They CRAVE Leftist popular culture & resent the fact that they do.

They aren't actually having fun

So apparently, the US Gov, in their most recent series of dog whistles, are pulling LOTR references and are outright saying that their fascist reign of terror is akin to protecting the Shire. Absolutely fucking not. The comparison is a straightforward dogwhistle, don't let them confuse you.

Powerful anti-vaccine advocates and people selling potentially harmful goods such as raw milk are benefitting – financially and otherwise – from the push to write anti-science policies into law across the U.S.
Who benefits from the MAHA anti-science push?

The real test of the costume, did you have your doggo with you?
Dane has a favourite TV show, has worked out how to completely unplug the Playstation (and the controllers) AND eject a disc from it.

Fitzwilliam doesn't even know we *have* a TV.

You don't have to ask which one is which, do you?

Yup. Not a communist at any stretch. But you know who will punch a nazi with me? A communist. We can hash out our opinions on economics and class after we rid ourselves of literal evil manifest okay?

Think of them as the rogue in the party if you have to be fussy, we have a BBEG to beat
Yet another example of anti-communism as an explicit propaganda tool of fascism.

The cold war embedded anti-communist ideology throughout American culture, so many folks have some brainworms about Marxism.

as an Anarchist, i encourage you to work through those now. solidarity is how we win.

It's interesting how people who use genAI will always offer excuses for why in their case it's ok, and how this rationalization *exactly* mirrors how they deal with fascism.

Almost like genAI is an instrument of fascism and selecting/softening psychologically vulnerable targets for recruitment.

This is true—Bessent owns $25 million of farmland in North Dakota—and a reminder of why farm bailouts are nothing more than a giveaway to feudal lords who demand the government grossly distort agricultural economics to make their tax haven "farms" even more valuable to them.
Bessent on American farmers being hurt by tariffs: "Martha, in case you don't know it, I'm actually a soybean farmer, so I have felt this pain too."

The constitution isn’t a suicide pact, but at this point republicans and democrats have fundamentally contradictory ideas about what would constitute suicide. Basically, democrats think allowing Trump to rule as a dictator would be national suicide and republicans think the opposite.
“That's like an existential threat for congressional power…How do you negotiate a longer-term spending deal…when you don't believe the executive branch is going to implement whatever choices it is that you put into that law?" Via Reuters
US government shutdown threatens the spending power of Congress
As Republican and Democratic lawmakers trade blame for the U.S. government shutdown, some have begun to worry that the impasse is ceding their authority over federal spending to an increasingly assertive President Donald Trump.

Heads up all Ontario 🇨🇦 residents! This is a vital read as the Ford government is proposing massive changes to the Residential Tenancies Act that will strip away some long-standing tenant protections including security of tenure! Get educated on this and call your MPP to say no to these changes! 💜🌻

Oh for sure! The iPhone and other smart phones were unlike anything we had seen before!! Truly world changing!

Now? The last new tech thing I was excited about? Dish soap bottles that dispense from the bottom! How did it take until the 2020s to invent those?!

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.
