It's not debatable that a mentally disturbed person has the nuclear codes. The Republicans know they're endangering us all by leaving him in office. This is a betrayal of every person on Earth. It is a crime against humanity.

On top of the legal responsibilities of the govt, there is a moral imperative. Having historically removed rights to land and ignored claims to rectify this, massive harms were done to indigenous peoples. Frum and others believe that is too bad. Are we conquerors or cohabiters? Justice matters.

Thanks for the critique in your thread. It’s the depth these issues deserve. I would add that these claims are based on treaties signed by the Cdn Govt or the British Crown and have always been binding. That’s why they’re being upheld in court. We either believe in the rule of law or we don’t.

This is demonic.

Mark Carney managed to trade a pipeline that will never get built for meaningful progress on industrial carbon pricing and electricity interties — both of which will get more wind and solar built.

Jeez, that’s a shame…🍁
The Dodgers are 9-1 this postseason because their starters have been great 9 out of ten times. They also got shelled by the Phillies in that one game they lost when Yamamoto didn’t have it.

They mostly win, but their losses are fucking ugly due to their lack of bullpen. #analysis

This is always the risk of putting too many eggs in one basket. But it worked very well for us so long as a reasonable, rational, and fair government existed south of the border. Trump is the opposite of these things. But we will emerge stronger, better, and more robust than we ever were before.
Carney: But this decades-long process of an ever-closer economic relationship with the United States is now over. And as a consequence, many of our former strengths as a country—more particularly, our economic strengths based on close ties to America—have now become our vulnerabilities… #cdnpoli

No mention at all of the fact that Trump doesn't have the legal authority to do this, that plans haven't even been reviewed (because the office is closed for the government shutdown), that the size and cost estimates keep changing, etc., etc.

(🧵) I’m going to say some things that may cost me followers. That’s only appropriate, given that what I say in this thread is about exactly that: how utterly meaningless everything is right now besides saving America—because without rule of law and democracy, nothing we dream of will ever come true.
