Just to be clear, as someone who holds US as well as UK citizenship, for America to seize Greenland would be unforgivable. It would be globally destabilising, end Nato, and constitute a morally despicable betrayal of allies and friends. No one will trust us again, and it would be what we deserve.

I have not felt this down and disheartened about the land of my birth since January 6th. This is another step into a more dangerous world.
