I’m pretty sure that other people (especially celebrities) can live their lives just fine even if I am disappointed in them. My feelings about their actions are largely irrelevant to them because they don’t know me… Psychologically it would be unhealthy for them to care overly much.

Even beyond the quality argument, these people aren't even 'writers', they're just assholes hitting what they think is the FREE MONEY button. Which sometimes works, so they keep doing it. If they gave even one solitary shit about art or even storytelling they would know better. They just don't care.
