The framers had a remedy for brazen corruption: impeachment. Trump's grift is so far out in the open because he is sure he can get away with anything.
CZ pleaded guilty to a criminal money laundering charge and was sentenced to prison.

But then he financed President Trump’s stablecoin and lobbied for a pardon.

Today, he got it.

If Congress does not stop this kind of corruption, it owns it.

Not the WSJ having the only even moderately acceptable push alert here.

NYT and NBC with basic journalism fails here.
I wonder how much it cost him for the pardon.

Fox News has hardly anything on its web homepage about Trump demolishing the East Wing of the White House without going through any approval process. I'm sure Fox would've been just as disinterested if Obama or Biden had done that, right? Right?

Everyone should read this letter. It's a scalding indictment of Trump's criminality from top to bottom. (@jvl.bsky.social bait)
NEWS --> Reps Jamie Raskin and Robert Garcia formally demand all internal WH-DOJ communications on Trump's corrupt DOJ shakedown, calling it a "blatantly illegal and unconstitutional effort to steal $230 million from the American people."

We reported first that this was coming (see below). Letter:

Trump is trying to turn the White House into a palace. Because Trump doesn’t understand what America is. He never has. We don’t do palaces in America. Because we don’t have kings in America.

Trump has decimated funding for Medicaid, SNAP, and crucial agencies like FEMA and the CFPB.

Now, he's demanding his cronies at DOJ give him a ludicrous $230M in taxpayer funds as "compensation" for past investigations.

He's picking your pockets to line his own.

Well. First the republican senators gave all their balls to Trump. And then the Republican representatives gave up their balls, too. And then law firms and tech bros followed suit, so where else is he supposed to keep all those balls?

Maybe this is obvious to everyone but…why does the White House need a ballroom? It has enough space for state dinners, no? Is this for dances? Weddings? Storing classified documents?

Just confused so the reason would be helpful thx
Scott Perry could be considered a traitor to the USA that he served. Rich words coming from him about Democrats.

East Wing demolition
They will be building it gratis in PT Barnum's honor! It will be great for these contractors' future business! 🙄

I had a 55-year career in show business entertaining ppl all over America. All kinds of venues- state fairs, arenas, theaters, casinos. Met hundreds of thousands of people, most of them not wealthy.

Still can’t figure out how so many of them can support this embarrassing idiot.
PT Barnum, can you elaborate how soon we Americans will see a significant reduction in drugs coming into our country? Two weeks maybe? (Like we will be able to believe ANYTHING reported out of this authoritarian administration.)
You should try the nice little island of Sifnos, too Away from the crowds. We stayed at a nice Air B&B there.

I have refused to spread motherjones content for decades because they used to be so full of shit but since I can independently verify this, I will spread it just this one time because you probably need to see this.
Trump's private army under development.

ICE and other agencies are bringing high-powered weapons into American cities at an unprecedented rate and amount.

Guns, armor, chemical weapons, guided missile warheads, and explosive components.
ICE’s spending on weaponry has soared more than 700 percent this year
The $71.5 million spent so far has paid for guns and armor, chemical munitions, “guided missile warheads," and "explosive components.”

Trump Bar Happy Hour. PT Barnum rarely appears happy in public.
PT Barnum's handlers never show him the real data. He thinks the world loves him.
