NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."
BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

One of the creepier geology papers I've read was about how in the end-Permian mass extinction (which is characterized by extreme volcanic CO2 outgassing and warming) the actual kill mechanism might have been when pulses of sulfur aerosols masking the warming rained out and the temperature spiked

The far right will be the dominant force on the right in Europe within the next 5-10 years. Most focus is still on how to prevent this but imho too many mistakes have been made that have created path dependencies. We need to focus more on what it means for our democracies when we reach this stage.
