20+ years digital professional, now working in the travel sector. Apparently also a long-haired, beardy, occasional musician-type. All views my own.

I've launched 3 websites this year (though the project started last year). Waterfall delivery would not have delivered them in the same timescale, and the flexibility of agile made it easier to get the business to focus on core requirements as the deadlines loomed.
As I manage a trio of websites, I look forward to the extra time rooting around in the office fridge looking for cheese.
We have a pretty bad history of stop and search being abused in this country; no reason to make it easier for no benefit.
The one where I can anonymously go about my day and if the police really want to fuck with me it's going to cost them a ton of paper work. I've lived in a country with ID cards and watched it be used as a tool by the police when they want to start hassling you.
Oh, so it's not Spiders Nightclub in Hull? I thought that seemed a bit weird.
I came here to say this.

Sisyphus had it easy, pushing a boulder up a hill for all eternity. He didn't have to get an 8 year old ready for school in the morning
An episode of Prime Suspect I think had a kid being run over because he was wearing headphones; this was a key revelation.
Yes but the adaptor was under £10 and lets me plug in anything with a 3.5mm jack. So your assertion that because of the EU it's impossible to attach any analogue device to the Apple USB ports is nonsense really.
Well 40-odd years ago I remember listening to a Sony Walkman cassette tape player as I took myself to school. So this isn't a new thing.
Seems odd as I can totally attach wired headphones to my ipad via the USB socket and a cheap adaptor.
I want to know how this was discovered. Presumably you thought you'd have a sneaky chocolate whilst waiting for the pot noodle to cool down and it fell in?

The far right has been legitimised by Labour, Conservatives and Reform and all those journalists and channels that have either failed to hold them to account or actively supported them - meanwhile, international law has been eviscerated - the weak, the cowardly and the greedy have succeeded

If I were the UK Government I would simply not route all my communications through the platform whose owner just called for regime change in Britain and said "fight back or die"

A modest TV broadcasting proposal:

Brian Kilmeade takes 5 minutes after the weather to interview a homeless person and then administer their lethal injection.
And now your local news-
Brian Kilmeade endorses euthanizing homeless people: "Involuntary lethal injection, or something. Just kill them."
So you're trying to come clean.
My dad gleefully did this. Sorry to anyone near him in Thames Ditton circa 2008-2009.
If he gets in we'll only be able to afford to stuff him into an empty Gu dessert pot with a Pringles lid from the bin.
Sounds like you have some experience of this. I can almost feel you going into a cold suet.
That's funny, as I had assumed from your rather ranty comment earlier that you were a fully-fledged Master Baker.
But what about the kidneys!
Music apps like Geoshred would be really hard to play on anything other than a tablet form factor.
Well I'm old so I grew up with vinyl. But the strongest songs tend to be around the album flip. Plus you need to end the whole album on a strong song. But you can't have a limp opening track. I'm running through bands and artists in my head (& my fave albums), & they often have a really good opener.
