Ukraine warned for years that Europe's human rights chief served Moscow's interests.

Now the Epstein files show Jagland agreed to connect Epstein to Lavrov—three weeks before the 2018 Trump-Putin summit.

KGB defectors had named Jagland as "Yuri" decades ago.

Agree. Very bad idea.
🚨🚨Given current situation and with the sharply deteriorating situation in #trumpland, I think it is unwise, imprudent and just a very bad idea for the EU to go ahead with plans to grant #US border authorities unprecedented access to Europeans’ data. 🧵

Hi All, I sent out two pieces yesterday in another crazy day. The second, last night was how Trump has, once again, helped Putin kill and freeze Ukrainians. It’s free and I even had to update it this morning after Trump defended Putin's war crimes last night. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...
Trump Helps Putin Kill Ukrainians: A Case Study
Update: Since this piece appeared Donald Trump confirmed just how much he is in Putin’s pocket.

As the veil of Iran’s internet blackout lifts slightly, the killings unleashed to crush protests are fuelling rage more than fear
The violence in Iran could lead to civil war

I was a White House ethics lawyer.

I used to advise people not to even accept a free cup of coffee from someone who had interests before them. And staff followed those rules.

I can’t even find the words to describe the scale of Trump’s corruption here.
Foreign countries are bribing our president to sell out the American people.

Trump family businesses made $187 MILLION from this deal, and just months later he gave the UAE some of our most top-secret AI tech.

ICE detained a 5-year-old Minnesota boy coming home from school + took him and his dad to Texas, school officials say. The family has an active asylum case + entered the US at a port of entry.

"They’re taking children. They're not violent criminals. They're little kids," the superintendent told me.

hey #BBC i just heard your promo piece for this film in the 7:30 news bulletin on one of your radio stations. maybe in the interest of fairness you could talk to someone who won't be seeing the film for reasons like this
The issue isn't whether "Melania" is a good movie or a bad one. It's that one of the richest men in America, with business interests affected by public policy, gave the President's family $75 million to make it. Like that's somehow legal.

When Keystone Kash's FBI raided the Georgia election office, they not only took all the ballots and equipment, they also took the back-up images of the ballots.

Taking the back-up images means that they can tamper with the ballots without anyone being able to prove they did it.

Menendez summarizes the first argument this way:

An excessive use of federal law enforcement is causing the state and cities to expend so many resources that it violates the 10th Amendment by essentially commandeering.

as soon as trump took office for the 2nd time this song started playing in my mind. i knew it was only a question of time. what remains to be a seen is the answer to the question of how many people who still believe in peace and democracy will die on american soil because of our current government.
