Like any love of Star Trek, I always find something delicious to quibble about with any new entry to the franchise. I’m not necessarily the audience for all the bits of “Starfleet Academy”, for instance, but they are taking a lot of big swings and hitting some incredible targets.

Note: I say this as someone who also loves all the recent Trek. I just want more of each one! I love longer stretches for character development and world-building.
I want more Star Treks with worse special effects made by people who are being paid much more and I'm not kidding.
