Seems like this isn’t much of an auction: with a thumb so heavily on the regulatory risk, it’s hard to imagine Warner ending up in anyone else’s hands. I mean, I think CNN stinks, but to see it become Fox will be too much.

I guess in that way, the corps making withholding payments might avoid liability for not withholding - having properly withheld and then passed the $ on to a state-based tax clearance agency (or something). Why not?

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.
