Imane Khelif scavenged and sold scrap metal as a kid so she should afford the bus to football training because her dad refused to drive her because he thought sport wasn't for girls. Then she was assaulted and beaten by boys who also didn't want girls to play, so she learned to box to defend herself

Cosmic, a #psytrance night at Studio 24 (aka Calton Studios/The Studios) in #Edinburgh, c. 2017. A dearly missed and amazing venue, sadly muscled out by housing developments and noise complaints. I'm not certain I actually took these, as I was rarely, shall we say, compos mentis at The Studios 😂

I managed one shot of the cotton candy cumulonimbus before darker, low-level clouds slid into the top of the frame. It was a gorgeous, surreal moment to see rain still falling over the east side of downtown, while fluffy pink clouds and blue sky belied the strength of the storm still in progress
