I'm participating in one of the NaNoWriMo alternatives and am proud to say I'm 14k deep into the 50k challenge. I was reminded of the page illustrations that books used to have. Sometimes a full page, other times a half page. What happened to that lovely black and white art? I wanna bring it back!

I just don’t think we’re freaking out enough about this SNAP cut. I have spent my whole career working with people who rely on SNAP for food. People who work multiple jobs. Who have kids. What do you think happens when 1/8th of the population can’t buy food anymore? Everything is going to collapse.

I've spent...most of the last decade sporting the good word of Affinity to get people away from Adobe products. When I did graphic design professionally, Adobe was the standard. I still gave Affinity a try and though years later they still aren't quite the Adobe killer for all art/design tasks

I agree with everything said here. My partner and I found out that Ass-Creed's recent release was ported to the Switch 2 at $80 and were beside ourselves.
Why are these games costing so fucking much when studios like SuperGiant and Team Cherry can give us far more of our money's worth for <$30??

I simply think that maybe we shouldn’t be making games that should be priced at 100 bucks bc no one who games can afford more than a couple of games at most a year At that price, and that’s not worth it when consoles are still a thing

As someone very into the technical side I can get into it.
Bluesky the social network was never supposed to be the product. This was a prototype/proof of concept for the underlying tech (atproto). It blew up past their intentions and so they've been trying to stick the landing since.
