In Week 40, to 05 October 2025, 68 test-confirmed cases of community acquired COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

This is the highest weekly figure reported since Week 42, 2024.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Northern Gaza, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize after Doctors for Gaza from Netherlands put his name forward.

Abu Safiya is in prison under Israel’s “Unlawful Combatants” law, which allows extended detention without the laws.

Instead of the usual child mascots, 22 fans living with dementia will walk out with the Welsh and English players tonight.

The teams will also play without names on their shirts in the second half to raise awareness of the disease.

Being reported that Wales did not sign the anti-R360 letter because they are wary of the possibility that top players will join that league if they cut regions

Which to me is a tacit admission that they know their ‘optimal solution’ will not provide adequate pathways to resource the national side
