Friendly tip for folks. My discord got hacked yesterday and my computer was acting funky ever since. Turns out it was malware installed through a blender file I bought as part of an asset pack on CG Trader. I didn’t know blender files were being used this way, but I figured I’d spread the word.

Not only is this shilling for owners, I'd say all the other sports have taking a hit in quality because of a salary cap.

Baseball is also a much more random sport you get weird stuff all the time, every year. Keep that shit out.

That Dodger game was the sports version of buying a used original Xbox in 2005 but you have to make 6 different trips in one day back to the gamestop you got at it cause you forgot to buy cables, power supply, multiple controllers and a game.

Not a hard question, except for the culture that pretends it's not the answer

1) right-wing media lies incessantly, so anyone truth-based doesn't trust it, and anyone who trusts it doesn't trust anything else

2) other media treats those lies as legitimate, for "fairness," getting trust from no one

Thats worked out so well the last decade.

Something I'm not seeing mentioned at all is that it's basically one giant QTE, without the quick part. An AI slop fever dream mod of Dragon's Lair with the time element cut out.
"It's a moving kaleidoscope of AI sludge that's only amazing in how clearly it communicates that AI's biggest pushers are operating with a different set of standards."

I have some strong opinions around the discourse of this new Pokemon, how that is coming solely from the West and how it's a reflection of the death cycle mindset of "more production value" both gamers and studios have that's gutted US game devs

But I think I'll just go for a walk with this guy

Project Gutenberg is one of those places that exemplifies what the internet was initially all about: studying, preserving, and celebrating the arts, especially the written word, and Greg Newby was a huge part of that.

Thank you, Greg, and rest well.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Greg Newby, who led Project Gutenberg ( @gutenberg.org ) with passion and purpose. Greg’s belief in free and open access to knowledge continues to inspire us and so many others working to preserve our shared culture online. gutenberg.org/about/newby....

Between a big move, falling and breaking two fingers and then a cold coming for me, I'm ready for this month to be over. Only relief has been watching the Dodgers.

I'll add one to this. The loudest boos at each home stadium for the opposing team's leadoff hitter.
initial thoughts about Dodger storylines in this WS (no particular order):
-Ohtani ✈️ Toronto
-Kershaw’s Finale
-Freeman in Ontario
-Will Canada let Rick Monday into the country?!😂
-Teo in TO vs the team that never should’ve traded him
-Sasaki faces a “finalist”
-Seeing Springer in October (again)

Scolding hot take but there's no one in AAA games who has produced more content for the games they've worked on than Uematsu.

No other artist, creative, designer or engineer has made as much quality STUFF as he has for the games he worked on during his peak output. Look at his output at Square.
Via @automaton-media.com, composer Uematsu: “I’ve never used AI & probably never will. I think it still feels more rewarding to go through the hardships of creating something myself. When you listen to music, the fun is also in discovering the background of the person who created it, right?"
