The ESPN 4K feed is the straight feed from the stadium, no commercials - we get the video and audio from the hard camera. I just watched Auburn's band totally kill it with a video game themed halftime show with the lights out and LED lights on everyone. EA CFB, Mario, and Skyrim. Kudos. But Go Dawgs

My favorite mashup artist, DJ Cummerbund, announced last night that he's going to just prompt AI to make mashups next year instead of making them himself. Basically says that the data shows the general public prefer the AI content to what he did by hand, so he's going where the audience is.

I’ve decided I’ll finally be retiring from creating mashups at the end of this year.
It’s much easier (and far less time consuming) to prompt Suno to make AI covers of other songs in 30 seconds, so I’ll just be putting out that type of content starting in 2026 here and there (maybe). Seems like people really like that kind of thing for whatever reason (which is totally fine).
It’s been an amazing ride, and thank you all for supporting over the past 12 years!

I didn't really learn how much my mom let herself go after my dad passed until she herself passed. I wish I had known sooner and could have gotten her more help.

SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

so this happened a long time ago in Animation and basically here's what happened:
* 95% of the US animation industry was obliterated and all that was left was management positions or people doing 5 jobs at once
* basically the entire skill/knowledge base went away within a single generation

I've been fundraising for T-Minus Studios most of this year, and one thing has become clear. Most VCs and publishers are not keen on funding a fully North American-based team, especially in the US. A pattern is developing where studios have a small core team of developers, mainly leads or those working in highly critical, iterative areas, while the rest are based in more affordable regions like Eastern Europe, South America, and Asia. This strategy helps studios lower their average monthly burn rate, which reduces risk.

I want to address the elephant in the room about how North American developers are viewed. I've spoken privately with several publishers, VCs, and developers from Asia and Europe, and they all see North American developers as expensive and entitled. This perception is unfortunate but reflects the reality we face today.

If "AI" was as valuable as they say it is, they wouldn't be selling it to you. They'd be using it themselves in secret to make the next Minecraft, the next Avatar, the next Hello Kitty and then they'd sell that to you.

They're trying to sell you a sick goose, while pretending it lays golden eggs.

My colleagues at Bloomberg report that the $20 billion debt in the EA deal is expected to be rated single-B — meaning it is considered a "junk" loan, or one that is high-risk and speculative, typically offering high interest rates. Which the new EA will have to pay

A lot of people are (understandably) focused on the Saudi Arabia and Kushner part of this, but the far bigger immediate impact will come from the new private EA being on the hook for $20 billion in debt. That could mean mass layoffs, more aggressive monetization, and other big cost-cutting measures
