I’m having a hard time thinking of an interview between two human beings I enjoyed more than tonight’s interview of the great Ian McKellen by the great Stephen Colbert. Every moment of it was a pleasure that I highly recommend… but then came the most REMARKABLE ending that you really HAVE to watch.

Today, the Washington Post laid off more than 300 people.

If you think this is abt Jeff Bezos's concern that the paper losing money, you're wrong.

So wrong that you should be disqualified from expressing opinions in public.

Billionaires *like* losses. They *need* losses.

Nicki Minaj: “No, I don’t think we landed on the moon.”

Katie Miller: “You don’t?”

Nicki Minaj: “No.”

Just the most despicable, heartless human. And the press pool there? Where's the solidarity for their fellow reporter? Not a peep from any of them. Couldn't be bothered to defend Kaitlan. I guess they were saving their comments for social media. 🙄🤬
CNN’s @kaitlancollins.bsky.social : “What would you say to the Epstein survivors?”

TRUMP: “You are so bad… You are the worst reporter... I’ve never seen you smile.”

A terrible human. Makes so much sense that he and Epstein were tight.

(And the other reporters say nothing. Cowards, all.)

This 🧵 is heartbreaking and horrifying
I found the first investigative file from the first complainant against Epstein in 2005.

There are descriptions from the officer, over several interviews of the girl, of her pulling her knees up on the chair, drawing doodles, & the officer high-fiving her to keep her calm as she speaks of horror.

A reminder that the Kennedy Center is the literal and legal and congressional designated presidential memorial to JFK. This would be like Trump tearing down the Lincoln Memorial to build something “better.”
He’s going to tear it down

He is such a POS 💩
Trump: "I have determined that the fastest way to bring The Trump Kennedy Center to the highest level of Success, Beauty, and Grandeur, is to cease Entertainment Operations for an approximately two year period of time, with a scheduled Grand Reopening that will rival and surpass anything."

I truly hate that this idea actually makes sense, and I'm not kidding one bit.
I continue to believe that the fastest way to get Stephen Miller fired is to convince Trump that Miller's ICE operations are what cost him the Nobel Peace Prize.

Also interesting that folks who were present for the meeting included members of Frump's staff who would make sure the media knew who WASN'T in attendance.
I’m just kinda idly thinking here, but I don’t believe that any of the people in this meeting (reported by NYT) has any relevant experience in policing or law enforcement or anything like that

Bovino is not leaving Minneapolis cause he wants to. Not cause Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Vance or Trump want him to go.

He’s leaving because the extraordinary “ordinary” citizens of that great city - by peacefully protesting en masse - kicked him out.

Lesson to be learned. We have power.
