We've funded 1,500 new cops and invested hundreds of millions in violence prevention programs.

If he wants to get serious on safety, President Trump should invest more in policing and programs like these — not use the National Guard for a dangerous power grab.

But seriously, the accusations and propaganda that DT & GOP are trying to level at Portland & US cities in general are dangerous AF. I think Portland is doing the best thing possible. Creating a protest that cannot be co-opted into the GOP “Sanctuary Cities on Fire!” ads.

This is the first step to get justice for the unlawful actions of the Trump-Vance admin.

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.
